Before being mobilized, Yurii ran his own woodworking business, so he learned to work with various equipment: "I had to try and do a lot myself. I engaged in welding, cutting various threads, and machining on lathes," says the junior sergeant.

The anti-aircraft installation crafted by Yurii is an exact imitation of the ZU-23-2, a Soviet 23-millimeter paired anti-aircraft gun. It can be assembled and disassembled, transported, and the barrel direction can be controlled. This mock-up will be used as a false target to deceive the enemy.

The skills acquired in civilian life have proven useful in the service. Yurii was able to showcase his craftsmanship for the benefit of the Luhansk border guard detachment.
